Grooming Terms / Important Information
No More Mats takes a welfare-first approach. Grooming is planned around the cat's coat condition, temperament, health, tolerance and comfort on the day.
Severe matting may require clipping rather than brushing out. Some grooms may need to be adapted, paused, stopped or split over multiple sessions where that is kinder for the cat.
If a groom is stopped due to severe stress or aggression, 50% of the full charge is due, with remaining work potentially attempted within 2 weeks for a further 50%.
Mat removal may reveal pre-existing skin conditions or sensitivity that could not be seen before the mats were removed. Owners must disclose relevant medical, allergy and behavioural information before grooming.
This page summarises important information and does not replace the full grooming consent process.
