- Welfare is always prioritised before styling or completing a planned groom.
- Severe matting may require clipping rather than brushing out.
- Grooming may be adapted, paused or stopped due to stress or aggression.
- Some grooms may need to be split over multiple sessions.
- If a groom is stopped due to severe stress or aggression, 50% of the full charge is due, with remaining work potentially attempted within 2 weeks for a further 50%.
- Mat removal may reveal pre-existing skin conditions that were hidden beneath the coat.
- Owners must disclose relevant medical, allergy and behavioural information before grooming.
